You may need to create locations for customers, company offices, or places where workers will need to travel or where they shouldn't stop during work hours.

You need to have an account with a Super User or Operations role, or a custom role with rights to create Locations.
Solution
- Log in to the Field Force Manager web portal using your credentials and company ID.
- Click on the Locations tab.
- Click Create Location.
- On the new page:
- Select the corresponding location type.
- Select the groups to which this location will be visible.
- Enter a name for the location, its address, and contact phone, email, and name of the customer (if applicable).
- Click Validate Address to make sure that it is automatically identified to the location on map - Address is valid message should be displayed.
If the address cannot be found automatically or is displayed on the map incorrectly, you can map the location using its coordinates:- Retrieve coordinates of the location - click on the required place in Google Maps and copy coordinates of the location from the address bar.
- From Field Force Manager web portal, click on the Click here for Advanced Options button.
- Enable the Override Coordinates option in the GeoCode section.
- Enter the coordinates that you have copied from Google Maps.
- Optionally, you can change the WorkZone radius for this location - enable the Override Coordinates option in the WorkZone section and enter the required Size.
WorkZones are boundaries set around a location, which activate alerts when a mobile worker crosses the boundaries of these zones. The default WorkZone radius for a location is 0.1 mile (0.16 km).

- Click Save & Close.
